Terms of Service

These Terms are an agreement between you and Credify Learning (“Credify”, “we”, “us”), based in Accra, Ghana. By creating an account or using Credify you accept them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Credify.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data and forms part of these Terms.

• You must be 16 or older. If you’re under 18, you need a parent’s or guardian’s permission, including to make payments.
• Give accurate details, including your real name. It appears on the certificates you redeem.
• Keep your password secret. You’re responsible for what happens in your account; tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
• One person, one account. Don’t share accounts or create them for someone else.

Learning is free. Joining a course, studying its lessons and taking its quizzes costs nothing.

Badges are earned. Passing a quiz earns its badge. Finishing a course, meaning every lesson done and every quiz passed, earns its course certificate if the instructor offers one. Weekly courses open one chapter at a time on dates the instructor sets.

Redeeming is optional and paid. To get the official, verifiable version of a badge or certificate (the signed PDF, QR code and public verification page), you pay the redemption fee the instructor set, which may be free. Paying never buys a pass: you can only redeem what you’ve earned.

• Fees are shown in Ghana cedis before you pay, and are processed by Paystack using mobile money or card. Paystack’s terms also apply to your payment.
• Your credential is issued as soon as the payment is confirmed.
• Because the credential is delivered instantly, redemption fees are not refundable once it has been issued, except if you were charged twice, charged without receiving the credential, or the credential was revoked because of our mistake. Email support@credify.study within 14 days of the payment.
• When a payment is refunded, the credential returns to “earned, not redeemed” and its verification page stops showing it as valid.

Credentials only mean something if they’re honest. You agree not to:

• take quizzes for someone else, or let someone take them for you;
• share quiz answers, or copy other learners’ written answers;
• use tools or tricks to get around time limits, attempt limits, deadlines or locked weeks;
• misrepresent a badge or certificate, or alter a certificate you downloaded.

If an instructor or Credify finds cheating, we may void results and revoke badges and certificates. A revoked credential’s verification page says it was revoked and why. Revocation because you broke these rules isn’t refundable.

• Your content stays yours. You keep ownership of the courses, lessons, media and questions you create. You give Credify a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, display, adapt the format of and distribute that content to learners on Credify, and to show it on verification pages and in promotion of your course. The licence ends when you delete the content, except for what’s needed to keep issued credentials verifiable.
• You have the rights. You confirm you own or have permission to use everything you upload, and that it doesn’t break copyright or anyone else’s rights.
• Assess fairly. Mark honestly and consistently, review AI-suggested marks you rely on, and only revoke credentials for a genuine reason.
• Earnings. You set your redemption fees. For each paid redemption, Credify keeps a platform fee (currently 20%) and the rest is yours. Each payment keeps the fee rate in force when it was made, and we’ll give at least 30 days’ notice before changing the rate. We pay your balance to the mobile money or bank account in your profile. Refunds reduce your balance, and you’re responsible for any tax on your earnings.
• Your team. You can add co-instructors and teaching assistants to a course. You’re responsible for what you let them do.

Don’t use Credify to:

• upload anything illegal, hateful, sexually explicit, violent, or that harasses or impersonates others;
• infringe copyright or other intellectual property rights;
• spam, advertise unrelated products, or mislead learners about a course or its credential;
• upload malware, probe or overload our systems, or access data or accounts that aren’t yours;
• scrape Credify or copy it to build a competing service.

Learners can report a course they think breaks these rules. The Credify team reviews reports and may unpublish courses or remove content.

AI-drafted questions and AI-suggested marks can be wrong. Instructors are responsible for checking questions before they publish them and for the marks they confirm. Learners who think a mark is wrong should raise it with their instructor.

You can stop using Credify at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close an account, unpublish a course, or remove content if these Terms are broken, if we’re required to by law, or to protect learners, instructors or Credify. Where it’s reasonable, we’ll tell you why.

Credentials you redeemed before your account closed stay verifiable unless they are revoked under section 5.

We work to keep Credify available and accurate, but it’s provided “as is”: there may be interruptions, mistakes or lost data, and we can change or discontinue features. Courses and assessments are created by instructors, not by Credify, and we don’t guarantee that any course, badge or certificate will be accepted by a particular school, employer or professional body.

As far as the law allows, Credify isn’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid Credify in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ghana. If a dispute comes up, please contact us first at support@credify.study so we can try to resolve it. Otherwise it will be settled by the courts of Ghana.

We may update these Terms. We’ll change the “last updated” date above and, for significant changes, tell you by email or in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use Credify after that means you accept the new Terms.
